History

1932 - first Spontex viscose sponge has been produced in Beauvais (France)

1964 - Spontex starts selling scouring pads

1980 - Spontex starts selling combined scourers (cellulose sponges + pad)

1997 - Spontex (sponges) and Mapa (gloves) are merging to harmonize their strategy on cleaning tools

2000 - Soeke Co has been bought by Spontex
